Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Kent for a Head of Revenue Accounts to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be responsible for a team of accounting and finance systems staff and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the annual revenue budget process, leading the provision of an effective finance business partnering service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and report on the Medium-Term Financial Projections and preparation of the annual budget report.
• Coordinate the project process, working with services, to set a balanced budget.
• Coordinate and produce comprehensive monitoring reports in accordance with the agreed timescales.
• Collaborate with the full range of internal stakeholders, including Members, Corporate Management Team and other senior managers.
• Confidently report to Members and Council colleagues through directorate management teams, oversight boards and overview and scrutiny committees.

Candidate Criteria

• Fully qualified accountant (CIPFA desirable)
• Demonstrable experience working at a senior level or in audit processes within local government finance
• Experience using large financial management systems
• Communication and people management
• Attention to detail and accuracy
