Are you a dedicated education professional with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking an experienced Head of SEND to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic educational environment.

About the Role: Head of SEND

As the Head of SEND, your primary responsibility will be to oversee SEND provision, ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs receive the support they require to thrive. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of SEN provision and legislation. 

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate SEND support strategies across the school or institution
• Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision, implementing improvements as needed
• Ensure compliance with local and national SEND regulations and policies
• Advocate for the needs of students with SEND and promote an inclusive environment
• Provide guidance and mentorship to staff involved in SEND support
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to SEND progress and compliance

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a SEND leadership or management role
• In-depth knowledge of Special Educational Needs legislation and best practices
• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Relevant qualifications in SEN or Education Leadership

Salary/Pay Rate: £526.56 umbrella per day (£400.02 PAYE per day)
