Hestia - Housing Management Officer (Contract) – South West London (travel across London)

Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Hestia - Housing Management Officer for a domestic abuse support provider in South West London. This is a full-time contract for 2 weeks, working 39 hours per week. The role is based in South West London with travel across London to support supported accommodation properties.

Pay rate: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience).


Candidate Responsibilities

As a Hestia - Housing Management Officer, you will deliver an effective housing management service across refuge and supported accommodation, ensuring compliance, safety and excellent resident outcomes. Key duties include:

  • Deliver a full housing management service across supported accommodation properties
  • Manage rent collection, arrears prevention and debt recovery processes
  • Oversee property health and safety compliance, maintenance and void management
  • Conduct regular building inspections and risk assessments
  • Liaise with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and external partners
  • Support residents with housing benefit, welfare benefit and DWP-related applications
  • Issue occupancy agreements and maintain accurate housing records
  • Coordinate repairs and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales
  • Produce performance reports and maintain compliance documentation
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to maintain safe, supportive accommodation environments

Candidate Requirements

To succeed as a Hestia - Housing Management Officer, you should have:

  • Previous experience in housing management, supported housing or social housing (Housing Manager knowledge preferred)
  • Strong understanding of rent collection, arrears recovery and housing management processes
  • Awareness of welfare benefits/DWP-related processes and housing benefit
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements for residential accommodation
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and strong IT skills for accurate electronic records
  • Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable residents (experience with domestic abuse cases is highly desirable)
