Make a difference to homeowners and communities
Are you an experienced leasehold professional looking for a role where your knowledge can make a real impact? We’re looking for a Homeowner Services Officer to join our Specialist Residential Services team, based from our Eastleigh office with the flexibility of hybrid working.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of leasehold, freehold, and shared ownership properties, providing specialist advice and support to customers while ensuring effective leasehold management and compliance.
You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, resolving complex homeowner enquiries, and working with colleagues and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
About the role
As a Homeowner Services Officer, you will:
  • Manage a portfolio of leasehold, freehold, and shared ownership properties.
  • Act as a specialist point of contact for homeowner enquiries and lease-related matters.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve lease breaches, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Manage and respond to service charge enquiries, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Support lease extension claims alongside legal teams.
  • Handle lease-related processes including assignments, consents, enfranchisement, and covenant breaches.
  • Build strong relationships with customers while managing challenging and sensitive situations professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience in leasehold management, shared ownership, property services, or a similar housing environment who can confidently manage complex enquiries and provide specialist advice.
You’ll have:
  • Experience working with leasehold and shared ownership products.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, Landlord and Tenant Act, and Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Experience applying leasehold processes relating to assignments, consents, lease extensions, service charges, and breaches of covenant.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • The ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve customer issues calmly and professionally.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this role.
