The salary for this position is £40,000 per year, offering a full-time, permanent role of 40 hours per week.

Candidate Responsibilities – Housekeeper and Home Help

The successful Housekeeper and Home Help will be responsible for:

• Performing general housekeeping duties throughout the home, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying
• Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Keeping kitchens clean and organised after family meals
• Organising living areas, household items, and children’s toys to keep the home clutter-free
• Managing household waste and recycling by putting bins out
• Cleaning upholstery and soft furnishings as required
• Supporting day-to-day household operations to ensure a smooth routine
• Assisting with occasional school pick-ups and participant support
• Providing light meal preparation or cooking (beneficial but not essential)
• Maintaining a welcoming, tidy, and well-presented family home at all times

Candidate Requirements – Housekeeper and Home Help

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Home Help, Domestic Assistant, or within a private household
• At least two references from similar roles
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of housekeeping
• Flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, using initiative where necessary
• Physically fit to undertake household duties comfortably
• An affinity for working within a family environment and supporting household needs
