About the Role: Housekeeper and Home Help

As a Housekeeper and Home Help, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and smooth running of the household. Your duties will include general cleaning, tidying, and supporting the family's daily needs — creating a comfortable, welcoming, and high-standard living space. The role also involves supporting an elderly family member with companionship and light household tasks, ensuring their well-being is prioritised.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Carry out general housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying
• Clean bathrooms and kitchens to high hygiene standards
• Keep living areas organised and clutter-free
• Organise household items and put bins out for recycling
• Support household chores and light cooking or meal preparation (beneficial but not essential)
• Support the smooth daily operation of the household
• Assist with chauffeuring and accompanying family members as needed
• Maintain upholstery and soft furnishings
• Provide companionship to elderly family members, engaging in conversations and supporting their wellbeing

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper, Home Help, or Domestic Assistant within a private household
• Minimum of two references from similar roles
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
• Flexible, positive attitude and strong organisational skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Physically fit to undertake household duties comfortably
• Enjoyment of working within a family environment
