£40,000 Salary | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a private family based in Trinity, Jersey, who are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and experienced Housekeeper / Home Help to join their household on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a warm and welcoming family home, helping to maintain high household standards while supporting the day-to-day running of a busy family environment.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, trustworthy, and take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented home.

The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the household remains clean, organised, and running smoothly, supporting a family with four young children under the age of five.

While this is not a childcare position, the family would appreciate someone who is comfortable around children and willing to provide occasional support if required.

Key Responsibilities

• General housekeeping duties throughout the home
• Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying
• Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining high hygiene standards
• Frequent kitchen cleaning following family mealtimes
• Keeping living areas organised and clutter-free
• Organising household items and children's toys
• Putting bins out and assisting with household recycling
• Cleaning upholstery and soft furnishings as required
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
• Assisting with school pick-ups when required
• Light meal preparation or cooking on occasion (beneficial but not essential)
• Maintaining a welcoming and well-presented family home at all times

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper, Home Help, Domestic Assistant, or within a private household
• A minimum of two references from similar positions
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
• A flexible and positive attitude
• Strong organisational skills
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• A professional, trustworthy, and discreet approach
• Physical fitness and the ability to undertake household duties comfortably
• A genuine enjoyment of working within a family environment
• Full UK Driving License
