Housing Customer Service Advisor – Contract Opportunity in London

We are currently seeking a Housing Customer Service Advisor to join our team on a 2-week contract basis, based in London N4. About the Housing Customer Service Advisor Role
The Housing Customer Service Advisor will act as the first point of contact for various queries, delivering professional and responsive support in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities, resolve customer issues efficiently, and provide a positive experience for every caller. The successful candidate will work primarily in an office-based setting for the first month, with 1 or 2 days remote work thereafter.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Housing Customer Service Advisor
- Serve as the first point of contact for all customer and contractor queries via phone, email, or in person
- Resolve queries at first contact where possible; escalate issues as needed
- Log and manage repairs, complaints, transactions, and service requests using internal systems
- Assist with arrears enquiries, analysing account history, and advising on next steps
- Support callers reporting anti-social behaviour and other casework matters, ensuring all information is accurately recorded and appropriate advice is given
- Conduct administrative tasks, including managing emails, generating letters, logging data, and processing orders or requests
- Take ownership of customer interactions and follow up to ensure satisfaction
- Provide reception cover, greeting visitors, and maintaining a professional front-of-house environment
Candidate Profile for the Housing Customer Service Advisor
- Proven experience in a customer service or contact centre environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; confident in learning new systems
- Housing or public services experience (desirable but not essential)
- Positive, flexible, and professional approach

Salary & Contract Details
