A client within the Public Sector based in North London is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join their Street Scene HR Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a generalist HR and Employee Relations environment.

The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide dedicated generalist HR support and advice to Street Scene department managers and supervisors, responding to ongoing Employee Relations and organisational change requirements across the department, working closely with the Senior HR Advisor and HR Business Partner.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Providing advice on straightforward ER issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance and attendance management
• Supporting the Senior HR Advisor and HR Business Partner on more complex ER matters and change management activity, including TUPE
• Delivering customer-focused HR support to Street Scene managers, offering practical people-management solutions
• Assisting with restructures, TUPE processes, data collection, onboarding and leaver administration
• Providing advice on absence management, safeguarding, grading and pay matters, and compiling evidence packs for formal hearings
• Supporting compliance activity including FOI responses, internal audits, right-to-work and employment verification checks

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require experience working in a generalist HR role, a solid understanding of employment law, and experience providing advice on ER matters such as disciplinary, grievance, and attendance management.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• CIPD qualification
• Experience supporting change initiatives including restructures and TUPE
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and support managers

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £22.99 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £17.00 – £18.00 per hour PAYE).
