You will play a vital role in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, providing specialist advocacy, safety planning, and practical support to help them move forward safely and independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse at high risk of harm.
  • Carry out comprehensive risk assessments and develop tailored safety and support plans.
  • Work closely with clients to empower them, helping them navigate the criminal justice system, housing, welfare, and other relevant services.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with key agencies including police, social services, health professionals, and courts.
  • Attend and contribute to Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with data protection policies.
  • Raise awareness of domestic abuse and the IDVA service through training and outreach as required.
About You
  • Experience working with individuals affected by domestic abuse, particularly in a risk-led, advocacy-based role.
  • A sound understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and the impact it has on victims and their families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, safeguarding procedures, and legal remedies available to survivors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients empathetically and work collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload, work under pressure, and maintain professional boundaries.
  • A relevant qualification such as SafeLives IDVA training (or willingness to complete it).
  • Experience of working within a multi-agency framework.

What We Offer

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Supportive and inclusive team culture.
  • Generous holiday allowance
