Information Governancne Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is working with a bustling local authority, based in Bournemouth, which is seeking an experienced Information Governance Solicitor to join their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist lawyer to play a key role in supporting the authority on a broad range of complex Information Governance and Data Protection matters.
 
Role: Information Governance Solicitor
Location: Local Authority in Bournemouth – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £45 - £51.52 per hour
PAYE Inc. Rate: £39.35 - £45.02 per hour
Contact Length: 3 months ongoing
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert legal advice on all aspects of Information Governance and Data Protection.
• Completing and advising on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Conducting Information Governance reviews and audits.
• Managing and advising on complex Subject Access Requests.

Candidate Requirements:

• Be a qualified solicitor with extensive post-qualification experience in Information Governance and Data Protection, ideally within the public sector.
• Comprehensive and current knowledge of ICO Guidance, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
• Significant experience advising on DPIAs, Information Governance reviews, Freedom of Information requests and complex Subject Access Requests.
