Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Hampshire for a Junior Accountancy Clerk to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide routine support and assistance within the accountancy business unit, helping to ensure the operational needs, aims and objectives are met.

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Hampshire for a Junior Accountancy Clerk to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide routine support and assistance within the accountancy business unit, helping to ensure the operational needs, aims and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks, including maintenance of accurate records and information within databases, maintaining integrity and confidentiality of information, and retrieving evidence for audit related requests.
- Providing support on the input of data relating to the Payable function, and ad-hoc support and cover of the basic aspects of the Receivable function.
- Liaising with customers, as well as external representatives, via email, telephone and in person, maintaining and developing effective working relationships.
- Undertaking of any other projects or duties as directed.
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within an office or finance environment.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks to deadlines.
- Good communication skills, with confidence liaising with colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
