Job Title: Labour

Location: HMP Bedford
Duration: 2 weeks (weekend shifts in July)
Pay Rate: Competitive, paid weekly (specific rate to be confirmed upon application)

Candidate Responsibilities for the Labour (Electrical Labour for HMP Bedford)

• Assist electrical teams with general labour duties on site
• Support the installation and maintenance of electrical systems
• Follow health and safety guidelines strictly
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces as needed
• Perform general site tidying and material handling
• Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in electrical or general labour positions (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to commit to the full 2-week contract, working weekends in July
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) preferred but may be supplied
