Are you an experienced Lawyer with a focus on Social Care and Education law? We are currently seeking two qualified Lawyer - Social Care & Education professionals to join a reputable legal team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, offering flexible working arrangements and the chance to make a real impact in adult social care and mental capacity cases.
Position: Lawyer - Social Care & Education (Contract)
Location: Flexible working from home with attendance at the office once a week
Duration: Ongoing contract
Salary: Competitive day rate (Please inquire for details)
Candidate Responsibilities:
As a Lawyer - Social Care & Education, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert legal advice and representation in adult social care and education cases
- Managing cases involving the Court of Protection, including mental capacity assessments and proceedings
- Advising on the Care Act and its applications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation related to adult social care and mental capacity
- Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy on behalf of clients
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive appropriate legal support
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Lawyer with experience in Social Care Law and Education Law
- Essential experience in Court of Protection proceedings
- Strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and associated legislation
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
- Flexibility to work remotely with occasional office attendance
