Are you a motivated Trainer with a passion for developing leadership skills within law enforcement? We are looking for a highly experienced Leadership Academy Trainer to support the delivery of the Operator Level Leadership Programme (OLLP) for the our client. This Leadership Academy Trainer role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a key national initiative aimed at embedding leadership and cultural principles across police officers and staff.

Position: Leadership Academy Trainer (Contract)
Type: 2-week contract
Location: De Vere Connaught Rooms, 61 Great Queen St, London WC2B 5DA (with possible external estate delivery)
Pay Rate: To be confirmed


Key Responsibilities of the Leadership Academy Trainer

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality in-person training sessions aligned with the OLLP curriculum
  • Facilitate one-day courses for diverse cohorts of police officers and support staff
  • Assist learners in understanding, adopting, and embedding NMFL cultural principles
  • Support attendance, course feedback, and evaluation processes
  • Collaborate with programme leads and fellow trainers to ensure consistent delivery standards
  • Adapt delivery style to face-to-face and virtual environments as needed

Candidate Responsibilities & Skills

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to connect with participants at all levels
  • Manage training sessions independently or as part of a team, ensuring consistent quality
  • Confidently deliver new ideas and facilitate learning using a variety of methods such as PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience in delivering training programmes to adult learners
  • Knowledge or experience within law enforcement or public sector
  • Hold a Level 4 education/training qualification or equivalent (e.g., College of Policing Trainer Essentials)
  • Ability to work flexibly within scheduled hours (08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday)
  • Maintain professionalism, uphold high standards, and adhere to organisational policies
