Service Care Soltuions, are currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join a high-profile public inquiry team based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional seeking to gain valuable experience supporting a complex and significant legal investigation.
Working as part of a close-knit legal team, you will provide essential administrative and legal support during the final stages of the inquiry. A key aspect of the role will involve preparing evidence and documentation for archiving, ensuring an accurate and comprehensive public record is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Salary: £39,767 per annum
Contract: 6–12 months initially, with potential extension up to 23 months
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing general administrative support to the legal team.
- Conducting document searches and managing electronic records.
- Updating databases, links, trackers, and spreadsheets.
- Preparing evidence and documentation for transfer to national archives.
- Supporting the wider inquiry team across a variety of legal and administrative tasks.
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Law or a related discipline. Experience in a law firm, Public Inquiry, data Protection,Freedom of Information advice and work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong administrative capability with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a busy team environment.
- Hybrid working arrangement 1 day in office, with Occasional office attendance when needed in Edinburgh.
