Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in West Yorkshire for a Licensing Solicitor to join their legal team on a hybrid basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional to work within a supportive local government environment, handling a varied caseload of licensing matters.
Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)
Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract – PART TIME!
Rate: £50–£55 per hour (Umbrella)
PAYE (Inc.Hol): £44.50 - £48.89
The role is Part time, Hybrid and 3 months rolling contract.
As a Licensing Solicitor, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support across a broad range of licensing functions. You will work closely with internal departments, committees, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

- Managing a caseload of licensing matters, including alcohol, entertainment, and taxi licensing
- Providing legal advice to council officers, committees, and elected members
- Drafting legal documents, reports, and representations
- Must have experience advising councillors in licensing sub-committee hearings
About you as a Licensing Solicitor:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with relevant experience
- Proven experience handling licensing matters within a local authority setting
- Strong advocacy and advisory skills
