Maintenance Operative

Job Title: Maintenance Operative (Housing Repairs & Maintenance) – Grantham & Newark
Contract Type: Contract (Temp-to-Perm) | Length: 2 weeks (ongoing with temp-to-perm opportunity)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (37 hours per week)
Payrate: £18.20 per hour (Ltd) — PAYE equivalent £15.62 per hour
Based across Grantham and Newark, supporting repairs and maintenance within the Housing sector.

Candidate Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Operative, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Carry out general maintenance and repair works across a range of housing properties
• Undertake basic property upkeep tasks to maintain standards and ensure functionality
• Identify and report property defects using internal systems
• Support compliance and ensure properties remain fit for purpose
• Follow health and safety procedures and work safely at all times
• Work independently, manage your workload effectively, and keep jobs moving efficiently

Required Skills (What you’ll bring)

• Previous experience within property repairs and maintenance (Repairs)
• Multi-skilled background across general maintenance tasks
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Reliability, independence, and strong attention to detail
