Mechanical Engineer (2 weeks) – our client - DNU

Job Overview
We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for an initial 2-week assignment under our client - DNU (Internal description: Mechanical Engineer – 23 Days). This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to contribute to time-critical engineering activities and support delivery within set project schedules.

Key Candidate Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Reviewing mechanical designs, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning activities where required
  • Diagnosing issues across mechanical systems and proposing practical corrective actions
  • Liaising with site teams, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain smooth workflow and reporting
  • Producing and updating engineering records, checklists, and task documentation
  • Assisting with technical problem-solving to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Adhering to relevant quality, health & safety, and compliance processes throughout the assignment

What You’ll Need
To be considered for this Mechanical Engineer role, you should have:

  • Relevant mechanical engineering experience (industry/contract experience welcome)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering drawings, and basic QA processes
  • Ability to work to tight timelines and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication and a practical approach to problem-solving
