Service Care Solutions is seeking a reliable and proactive Mobile Caretaker to join our client’s estate maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across Ealing and Acton, ensuring communal areas are maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents.

About the Role: Mobile Caretaker

As a Mobile Caretaker, you will play a key role in supporting the upkeep of multiple estates, providing essential caretaking and maintenance services. Your dedication will ensure the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of public spaces, helping residents take pride in their local environment. Traveling across various sites, you will be responsible for reporting repairs and hazards, attending estate walkabouts, and assisting with community safety initiatives. A company van will be supplied, enabling you to carry out your duties confidently across the borough.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Provide cover for caretaking and gardening colleagues across estate sites
• Keep communal areas clean, tidy, and graffiti-free
• Report repairs, vandalism, and safety hazards promptly
• Attend estate walkabouts and contribute to anti-social behaviour reduction
• Maintain refuse systems and complete scheduled cleaning tasks
• Perform safety checks, including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
• Work collaboratively with the Estate Services Area Manager to ensure smooth operations

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK driving license (essential)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on duties
• Flexible, proactive, and a reliable team player
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check

Salary & Hours

• Salary: £27,248 per annum
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (35 hours per week)
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Location: Ealing and Acton (Travel across the Borough required)
