Mobile Cleaner/Caretaker (Housing Caretaker) – Redbridge (Contract, 3 Months)

Service Care Solutions is seeking an experienced Mobile Cleaner/Caretaker to join a Local Authority on a temporary contract for 3 months in the Redbridge area of London. This is a mobile role, so you must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving a van of all types. Pay / Rate

• £15.19 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
• £19.70 per hour LTD via Umbrella
• 36 hours per week
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm

Candidate Responsibilities

As a Mobile Cleaner/Caretaker, your duties will include:

• Carrying out general cleaning duties to communal areas (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, litter picking)
• Sweeping, disinfecting and maintaining refuse chutes, bins and bin areas (where appropriate)
• Undertaking deep cleaning when required using machinery (e.g., jet washers, steam cleaners)—training can be provided
• Reporting repairs/defects in communal areas to the maintenance department/line manager and following up actions
• Providing cover in the absence of other colleagues
• Acting as a point of contact for residents; assisting where possible or referring enquiries appropriately
• Being aware of vulnerable customers and highlighting needs to your line manager/Housing Team
• Working professionally and politely with residents and visitors at all times
• Following Health and Safety requirements, using provided PPE and operating a safe system of work
• Completing basic compliance checks and supporting maintenance-related issue identification
