Catering Assistant/Kitchen Staff – National (Contract Position)

Are you passionate about delivering excellent food services and exceptional customer care? We are seeking motivated and dedicated Catering Assistant/Kitchen Staff to join our team on a contract basis at RAF Waddington. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a busy catering environment, supporting various food operations across multiple shifts.

Candidate Responsibilities:

As a Catering Assistant/Kitchen Staff, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating varied shift patterns, including daily food services, daytime and evening functions, bar services, and possibly reception and accommodation duties.
  • Working alongside service personnel and industry partners to ensure catering services are delivered in compliance with JSP 456 and ESS policy.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory legislation and local orders, including food safety, health & safety regulations.
  • Handling cash transactions accurately and implementing profit protection procedures.
  • Assisting with stock taking procedures and maintaining proper inventory management.
  • Conducting basic IT input tasks and administrative duties as required.
  • Upholding high standards of personal hygiene and dress code, including wearing the correct PPE.
  • Following all safe systems of work, including UK food safety and health & safety legislation, and ESS safety protocols and risk assessments.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to all service users.
  • Keeping updated and competent in all required job KPIs and local orders.
  • Maintaining high security awareness and adhering to reporting procedures.
