As a Childrens Social Care - Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work services within Middlesbrough’s SCP team. Candidate Responsibilities

In this Childrens Social Care - Advanced Practitioner role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a complex caseload of children and families, ensuring assessments and interventions are timely and effective.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to junior staff and agency workers.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory legal obligations and best practice standards.
  • Contributing to team meetings, reviews, and case audits to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed case records in line with council policies.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Childrens Social Care - Advanced Practitioner or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid working environment.
  • DBS clearance, as required.
