Are you a dedicated Children's Social Care professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mou - Children's Social Care - IRO to join a dynamic team on a 4-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to safeguarding children and supporting their well-being.

Position: Mou - Children's Social Care - IRO

Contract Length: 4 months

Salary: Competitive daily rate (to be discussed during the interview process)


Candidate Responsibilities:

As a Mou - Children's Social Care - IRO, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Children’s Review Meetings in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Assessing and reviewing care plans to promote the child's best interests
  • Acting as an independent advocate for children within the care system
  • Liaising with social workers, families, and external agencies to ensure effective communication
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reports for each case
  • Ensuring that decisions are made with a clear focus on safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
  • Attending review meetings and providing expert guidance based on your professional judgment
  • Upholding confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding protocols at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualified children’s social worker (HCPC registered or equivalent)
  • Experience working as an IRO or within children’s social care reviews
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
