Occupational Therapist (Band 6) – West Cornwall

Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 6)
Location: West Cornwall (Camborne, Redruth, Hayle, Helston, Penzance)
Contract Length: 3 months (from 31/08/2023 to 20/11/2023)
Employment Type: Contract
Salary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

Candidate Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist (Band 6), your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for patients in their homes, with a focus on physical health and adult social care needs.
• Travelling to remote areas such as the Lizard to visit patients at their residences.
• Implementing and reviewing interventions to promote independence and improve quality of life.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to professional and organisational standards.
• Participating in team meetings and on-call duties, as required.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Professional qualification as an Occupational Therapist
• HCPC registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist
• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as a Band 6 OT within the physical health or adult social care sector
• Ability to travel to remote locations across West Cornwall
• Flexibility to work part-time hours (to be confirmed upon hire), within the scope of the agreed hourly rate and agency fee
