Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Locum Occupational Therapist to join a specialist primary school in Luton, supporting children aged 4–11 years with autism, sensory processing differences, and complex learning needs, including some pupils with cerebral palsy.
About the Role: You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team working within a nurturing and structured school environment. The role involves delivering targeted occupational therapy interventions to support pupils’ sensory, physical, and functional development, helping them to access learning and improve independence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage a caseload of pupils with autism, sensory processing challenges, and physical disabilities
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans in collaboration with teaching staff and families
- Deliver direct and indirect interventions to support fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and functional independence
- Provide training and advice to school staff on strategies to support pupils’ occupational needs
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to EHCP reviews and multidisciplinary meetings
- Work autonomously while being supported by a wider therapy and education team
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children in educational or paediatric settings
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, autism spectrum conditions, and physical disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience contributing to EHCPs and working within a multidisciplinary team
