Locum Pharmacist – Diabetes Management Specialist
📍 Loughborough | 🕒 13 Hours per Week | 💷 From £40 per hour (Ltd)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Pharmacist with a special interest in Diabetes Management to join a friendly and supportive GP practice in Loughborough on a part-time locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically focused pharmacist who is passionate about improving outcomes for patients living with diabetes within a primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured medication reviews for diabetic patients
• Support optimisation of diabetes therapies in line with current guidelines
• Provide patient education and lifestyle advice
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider MDT
• Assist with long-term condition management and prescribing support
• Identify and support achievement of QOF and local enhanced service targets

Requirements

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist
• Experience working within GP practice or primary care preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge in diabetes management
• Independent Prescriber qualification desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Contract Details

• Locum contract
• 13 hours per week (flexible working pattern considered)
• Based within a GP practice in Loughborough
• Pay negotiable depending on experience, starting from £40 per hour (Ltd)
