Planning and Highways Paralegal

Service Care Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established Local Authority, based in Nottinghamshire, which is looking for a Planning and Highways Legal Paralegal to join its experienced Legal Services team.
 
Role: Planning and Highways Paralegal
Location: Nottinghamshire (Hybrid Working Available)
Umbrella Rate: £20.18ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £17.68ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
The Role

• Provide any administrative support required by the council’s Planning, Highways, Rights of Way legal team.
• To develop and maintain knowledge of the legal disciplines that are allocated to the post holder by managers. 
• To act on behalf of the customers in legal proceedings and to attend and advise at meetings both internal and external, as required. 

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (desirable).
• Recent experience providing legal advice, ideally within Planning, Highways, Rights of Way, or another relevant area of local government law.
• An understanding of the legislative and governance framework within Local Authorities.
