Practice Nurse (Locum) – 2 Weeks Contract – £40/hr

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse looking for flexible locum work? Honey Pot Medical is seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise, work independently, and make a difference in patient care. The Practice Nurse role offers flexible days, competitive pay, and the chance to work with a variety of NHS practices across the UK.

Practice Nurse Responsibilities

As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and managing a range of clinical duties, including:

• Performing cervical cytology (smears)
• Providing wound care and dressings
• Removing sutures and clips
• Administering routine adult and childhood immunisations
• Administering injections such as B12, Goserelin, and Inclisiran
• Conducting urinalysis and NHS Health Checks
• Offering travel health advice and vaccinations
• Managing long-term conditions including asthma, COPD, hypertension (including 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring), and diabetes
• Performing phlebotomy and ECGs

Candidates should be confident using EMIS Web, possess a valid NMC registration, and have prior experience working in a General Practice environment. You must be able to work independently, delivering patient-focused care in a professional manner.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Previous experience as a Practice Nurse
• Proficiency with EMIS Web
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility to work 3 days per week (Monday to Friday, flexible days)
• Available to start ASAP

Practice Nurse Salary & Contract Details

• Rate: £40 per hour (all-inclusive, Ltd Company)
• Contract Length: 2 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
