Prison Employment Advisor – Contract (2 Weeks) - North-West

Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? Do you have experience working with offenders or vulnerable groups? We are seeking a dedicated Prison Employment Advisor to join our team on a 2-week contract, supporting the CFO Evolution project at HMP Lancaster Farms in the North-West. This is your opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while working within a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role
The Prison Employment Advisor will play a vital role in helping offenders in custody and through the gate achieve their resettlement goals. You'll work with individuals on remand or serving custodial and community sentences, supervised by the National Probation Service, to encourage engagement in learning, training, and employment opportunities. Your efforts will involve both one-to-one support and group work, with a focus on fostering confidence and progress.

Key Responsibilities of the Prison Employment Advisor:

  • Engage with offenders to develop personalised employment and training plans
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to ensure the best outcomes for participants
  • Support individuals in overcoming barriers to employment and education
  • Maintain accurate records using databases with a keen eye for detail
  • Promote motivation and confidence in clients, encouraging ongoing participation
  • Comply with all quality and compliance standards of the contract
  • Work proactively to meet individual and team targets
  • Deliver the full range of training and support services as provided during the onboarding process

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting offenders or vulnerable groups (preferred)
  • Confident, proactive, and engaging communicator
  • Ability to work effectively with partner agencies and individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in database management
  • Non-judgemental attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A full driving license is advantageous but not essential
