Job Overview:

The Private Client Solicitor will be responsible for managing a busy caseload related to private client matters, providing expert legal advice, and delivering outstanding service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private client law, particularly within Scotland, and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Manage a full caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning
• Provide expert legal advice tailored to client needs
• Draft and review legal documents with precision and accuracy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and internal procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and optimise client solutions
• Stay updated on recent legislative changes affecting private client law

Required Skills & Experience:

• Qualified lawyer with knowledge of private client law in Scotland
• Experience handling wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning
• Strong understanding of legal procedures relevant to private clients in Scotland
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Previous experience working within a law firm or legal department is preferred

Salary and Contract Details:

This position is offered on a permanent basis with an initial 2-week contract for onboarding purposes. Salary details will be discussed during the interview process, aligned with experience and expertise.
