We are seeking a dedicated Probation Officer to join the team at HMP Parc for a 12-month assignment. This is a fantastic contract opportunity to contribute to the criminal justice system while working within a secure prison environment. Depending on the role, work may include:
- Conduct OASys assessments to support offender rehabilitation plans
- Perform general Probation Officer duties within a high-security prison setting
- Manage casework, ensuring compliance with all statutory and institutional policies
- Work closely with prison staff and external agencies to facilitate successful offender management
- Maintain thorough documentation and provide detailed reports for ongoing case reviews
- Support offender rehabilitation and risk management initiatives
- The job holder is expected to accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level that may be necessary.
- Proven experience as a Probation Officer or in a similar role within the last 5 years.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of OASys assessment procedures and risk management tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a secure prison environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain thorough documentation and write detailed reports.
- Compliance with all relevant legislation, protocols, and statutory policies.
