HOURS: 37 hours per week
PAY RATE: £30.36 ltd p/h

We are currently seeking a qualified Probation Officer for a contract at HMP Woodhill, Milton Keynes. Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Probation Officer to join the South Central Region on a 3-month contract (with potential for extension), based at HMP Woodhill. This role is focused on managing and supporting offenders within the prison setting, with the possibility of covering other HMP facilities within the region as needed.

Depending on the role, work may include:

• Managing and supporting offenders within the prison setting at HMP Woodhill
• Assessing offenders' risks and needs, developing tailored rehabilitation plans
• Monitoring compliance with probation conditions and court orders
• Collaborating with prison staff, social services, and other agencies
• Documenting case progress and preparing reports as required
• Covering other HMP facilities within the South Central Region if needed
• The job holder is expected to accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level that may be necessary

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Probation Officer (PO) with relevant certification
• Proven experience in offender management or probation work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the prison environment
