Procurement Business Partner – Portishead (Agile Working Available)

Procurement Business Partner – Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Business Partner, you will:

  • Lead and support end-to-end procurement activities, including managing tender exercises.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide expert guidance.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with UK public procurement legislation and internal policies.
  • Develop, review, and improve procurement procedures, templates, and guidance materials.
  • Provide training and advice to colleagues to promote best procurement practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, supporting contract management, performance reviews, and negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, monitor spend, identify savings opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of procurement strategies and help streamline processes for efficiency.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Procurement Business Partner will have:

  • Previous procurement experience, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK public procurement legislation.
  • Experience managing tender exercises and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and data management skills.
  • Confident communication skills, capable of explaining complex processes clearly.
  • A professional procurement qualification such as CIPS is advantageous but not essential.
  • A collaborative approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Open to part-time working (4 days/week) applications.
