Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a well-established Local Authority in West Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Prosecution Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to join a busy and supportive team on a hybrid basis, handling a varied caseload of criminal and regulatory prosecutions.
Prosecution Solicitor
Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Full-Time | 3-Month Rolling Contract
Rate: £50–£55 per hour (Umbrella)
PAYE (Inc.Hol): £44.50 - £48.89
As a Prosecution Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of prosecution matters on behalf of the Local Authority. You will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance and supporting enforcement functions across multiple service areas.

- Managing a caseload of criminal and civil prosecution matters, including regulatory offences
- Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court where required
- Preparing and reviewing case files, witness statements, and legal documentation
- Advising council officers and departments on enforcement and prosecution matters
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
- Previous experience handling prosecutions within a Local Authority or similar environment
- Strong advocacy skills and experience attending court
