Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Children in Care Team based in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, supporting them through high-quality statutory social work practice.

The Role: You will be responsible for working with children and young people who are looked after, ensuring their needs are met and that plans are outcome focused, timely, and child centred.
Key duties will include:
- Managing a caseload of children and young people in care
- Completing statutory visits in line with regulations and timescales
- Undertaking assessments, care plans, pathway plans, and reviews
- Supporting permanency planning, including long term fostering, reunification, and care proceedings where required
- Maintaining accurate, up to date case records and reports
- Working closely with carers, families, education, health, and other partner agencies
- Attending reviews, meetings, and court as required
- Ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and responded to appropriately
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Recent experience within a Children in Care / Looked After Children team
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work to deadlines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
