Qualified Social Worker (Children) – Contract

We are currently seeking dedicated Qualified Social Worker (Children) to join our Assessment Team on a contract basis. Job Title: Qualified Social Worker (Children)

Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) area (office-based – minimum of 3 days per week)

Pay Rate: Up to £40.60 per hour plus holiday pay (28 days + bank holidays)

Employment Type: Contract

Candidate Responsibilities:
As a Qualified Social Worker (Children), your main responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out assessments and completing reports in line with statutory requirements.
• Managing a manageable caseload with support and supervision.
• Providing expert intervention and safeguarding to children and their families.
• Ensuring compliance with all legal and organisational procedures.
• Attending regular supervision sessions and team meetings.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records.
• Being available on-site at the Children Social Care office in the BCP area at least 3 days a week.
• Having access to own car as an essential car user, with up to £40.60 per hour payable.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years PQ experience within a statutory English Local Authority.
• Proven experience as a Qualified Social Worker (Children) in an assessment role.
• Strong knowledge of UK child protection legislation and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to working in the BCP area with a minimum of 3 office days per week.
• Own access to a car for essential travel.
