GP Receptionist – Barnsley Rate: £14 PAYE per hour

Requirements: NHS Smartcard EMIS experience
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced GP Receptionist to support a busy and well?established GP Surgery in Barnsley. This is a fantastic short?term locum opportunity ideal for someone with strong primary care experience and excellent patient?facing skills.
Role Overview The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a high?quality, professional reception service and supporting the wider practice team.

- Managing patient enquiries both face?to?face and over the telephone
- Booking appointments and managing the clinical diary
- Processing repeat prescription requests
- Maintaining accurate patient records using EMIS
- Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient reception service
- NHS Smartcard
- EMIS clinical system experience
- Previous GP Reception or Primary Care experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast?paced environment
