Job Title: Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse Service
Location: East Yorkshire 
Pay Rate: Up to £23 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Type: Full time role, 2-3 Month contract 

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist Substance Misuse Service. The successful candidate will support individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse, helping them progress through treatment and recovery-focused interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of service users with substance misuse needs
• Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans
• Deliver structured one-to-one interventions and harm reduction advice
• Support service users with relapse prevention, engagement, and recovery goals
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
• Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with service requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience working within the substance misuse sector
• Strong understanding of drug and alcohol treatment pathways
• Experience in care planning, risk management, and recovery-focused work
• Excellent communication and engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

Desirable:

• Relevant qualification (e.g. Health & Social Care, Addiction Studies, or similar)
• Experience working with complex needs (mental health, homelessness, offending history)
