The successful candidate will facilitate and deliver structured group-based interventions to individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse, supporting them through treatment and recovery-focused programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured group sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and harm reduction
- Engage and motivate service users within a group setting, promoting participation and peer support
- Support individuals in achieving their recovery goals through group-based interventions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
- Contribute to assessments, risk management, and recovery planning where required
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with service requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working within the substance misuse sector
- Experience facilitating group work or structured interventions
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol treatment and recovery approaches
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Ability to manage group dynamics and create a safe, inclusive environment
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Health & Social Care, Addiction Studies, or similar)
- Experience working with complex needs (mental health, homelessness, offending history)
