Recovery Worker – Drug & Alcohol Service

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist Drug & Alcohol Service in Nottinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced substance misuse professional to support individuals on their recovery journey by delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping service users reduce harm, improve wellbeing, and achieve sustainable recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of individuals accessing drug and alcohol treatment services.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery plans, and regular reviews.
- Deliver structured one-to-one interventions, harm reduction advice, and recovery-focused support.
- Promote positive outcomes through personalised care planning and goal setting.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social care, housing providers, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and ensure all interventions are delivered in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records using SystmOne.
- Support service users to access education, employment, housing, and other community resources that promote long-term recovery.
- Contribute to achieving service performance targets and quality standards.
- Previous experience working within the drug and alcohol/substance misuse sector.
- Experience managing a caseload and delivering recovery-focused interventions.
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Experience using SystmOne.
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one if required).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with service users and partner agencies.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a busy community-based service.
- Competitive pay of up to £24.00 per hour (Umbrella).
- PAYE options available:
- £21.16 per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- £18.89 per hour (Excluding Holiday Pay)
- 3-month contract with the potential for extension.
