Overview of the Role We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Supervisor to join a London-based Council within their in-house repairs service.
This is a key operational role responsible for managing a team of multi-trade operatives, ensuring high-quality repairs delivery across a designated housing patch. You will play a vital role in driving productivity, maintaining standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

This is a key operational role responsible for managing a team of multi-trade operatives, ensuring high-quality repairs delivery across a designated housing patch. You will play a vital role in driving productivity, maintaining standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Line manage a team of 8–12 multi-trade operatives
- Oversee day-to-day repairs delivery and performance
- Carry out pre and post inspections to ensure quality standards
- Diagnose complex repairs across multiple trades
- Ensure works are completed in line with policies and KPIs
- Monitor materials, resources, and budget spend
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Handle resident queries and maintain a customer-focused service
- Support the Repairs Manager and deputise when required
- Proven experience supervising repairs teams within social housing
- Strong multi-trade or core trade background (NVQ/Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Good knowledge of building regulations and H&S compliance
- Experience carrying out inspections and quality control
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage performance and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
