  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning, reviews, and assessments.
  • Support young people with emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Support less experienced colleagues through guidance and mentoring where appropriate.

  • Experience within a residential childcare setting or similar environment.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice.
  • Knowledge of child development and the needs of vulnerable young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging situations.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications Applicants should hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant qualification such as:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 or above in Children and Young People's Workforce, Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
What You'll Need
  • Flexibility to work a rota pattern, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use (essential car user post).
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
