Job title: Resourcing & People Assistant
Location: Seaham SR7 (On-site – minimum 1 days per week, normally Thursdays)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary 3 months
Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Resourcing & People Assistant to join a busy and supportive People team on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to gain or further develop experience within HR and recruitment. You will play a key role in supporting recruitment processes, employee lifecycle administration, and maintaining accurate HR records.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across the Resourcing & People team.
  • Manage shared HR and recruitment inboxes, responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Support recruitment activities, including preparing and posting job adverts and assisting with recruitment administration.
  • Assist with new starter, employee changes, and leaver processes, preparing relevant documentation and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate employee records using the HR system (iTrent).
  • Produce and distribute reports to support people data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Process invoices and support payment administration activities.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and information security requirements.

Candidate Profile
 
  • Previous administrative experience within an office environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within an HR or People function would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience using HR systems, particularly iTrent, is desirable.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards it would be beneficial.
