SEN Assessment & Planning Officer (Contract – 2 Weeks)

Are you an experienced SEN Assessment & Planning Officer looking for a short-term contract opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Assessment & Planning Officer to join a dynamic team for a 2-week contract. About the Role: SEN Assessment & Planning Officer

As a SEN Assessment & Planning Officer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct assessments and develop tailored educational plans for students with special educational needs. You will work closely with educational professionals, parents, and care teams to ensure each child's needs are accurately identified and appropriately supported. This contract provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys and contribute to improving support systems.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for students requiring special educational needs support
  • Develop tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and external specialists to gather pertinent information
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments and planning processes
  • Ensure all actions comply with statutory guidelines and educational policies
  • Provide recommendations for additional support or referrals as necessary
  • Manage a high workload efficiently within the 2-week contract period

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in SEN assessment and planning
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) frameworks and legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional registration or qualification related to SEN is advantageous
