SEN Case Officer – Contract (Post-14 EHCP Coordinator)
Are you an experienced SEN Case Officer looking for a flexible contract role that allows you to make a significant impact within SEND and Inclusion services? We are currently recruiting for a skilled SEN Case Officer for a 2-week contract with the potential for extension. About the Role – SEN Case Officer
As a SEN Case Officer, you will be instrumental in managing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes for post-14 students. Your core responsibilities will include overseeing EHCP maintenance, reviews, and amendments, ensuring all statutory requirements and deadlines are met. You will work closely with families, education providers, health organizations, and care professionals, acting as a key point of contact and guiding families through complex processes.
This SEN Case Officer role is a hybrid position, requiring a 3-day onsite presence across local hubs in South East England, combined with flexible remote work. The contract is initially for 2 weeks, starting immediately, with a day rate of £340 (umbrella), and the possibility of extension based on performance and ongoing service needs.
Candidate Responsibilities – SEN Case Officer
- Oversee EHCP processes, including maintenance, reviews, and amendments
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines
- Collaborate with families, education, health, and care professionals
- Provide clear guidance and act as a key contact for families
- Support service improvements through accurate tracking and reporting
- Maintain detailed records and ensure data integrity within EHCP documentation
Candidate Requirements
- Proven Post-14 SEND experience
- Extensive EHCP management background
- Previous Local Authority experience preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work 3 days onsite in South East England
