We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced SEN QA Officer to support a busy SEND service, ensuring the quality, compliance, and consistency of EHCP Proposed Amendment Plans (PAPs).
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven SEND professional who is confident operating at a senior level within QA, compliance, and statutory EHCP processes.

Key Responsibilities QA of Proposed Amendment Plans (PAPs)
- Quality assure all PAPs prior to issue
- Ensure amendments from professionals and settings are accurately reflected
- Check consistency across Sections B, F, and I following proposed changes
- Ensure all plans are clear, specific, and legally compliant
- Ensure statutory amendment processes are followed (notifications, timelines, and rights)
- Verify amendments are correctly evidenced and fully justified
- Ensure documentation meets decision-making thresholds (amend vs maintain decisions)
- Review and validate funding requests arising from PAPs
- Ensure uplifts/reductions are evidence-based and aligned to provision changes
- Identify cases requiring panel approval due to cost implications
- Prepare funding cases to a clear, defensible, and audit-ready standard
- Maintain consistency across high-volume PAP outputs
- Support efficient turnaround times within the amendment process
- Work closely with case officers and business support teams to ensure smooth workflow progression
