SEND Complaints Officer (Contract – 2 weeks)
Are you experienced in handling SEND-related concerns with empathy, accuracy, and a strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance? We’re seeking an SEND Complaints Officer for a short, high-impact 2-week contract to support a busy service team.
As an SEND Complaints Officer, you’ll help ensure complaints are managed in line with relevant procedures, supported by clear communication and timely updates.
Candidate responsibilities
- Manage and respond to SEND complaints using a thorough, case-by-case approach
- Gather evidence, review documentation, and maintain accurate case records
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure responses are consistent and appropriate
- Draft complaint summaries, correspondence, and update stakeholders as required
- Support learners, families, and professionals with clear and respectful communication
- Follow compliance requirements, including documentation and audit-ready records
- Escalate urgent matters promptly, working with the team to mitigate risk
