Senior Children's Residential Support worker

We are looking for a Senior Residential support worker to join a national children's residential support company. We have a number of opportunities available in the Newthorpe area of Nottingham. These are permanent positions with a salary of up to £35,000 (dependent on experience) plus an additional £60 for sleep ins on top of this. The Rota is set at least 4 weeks in advance with shifts between 8am-11pm and you will usually do 2 day on, followed by 4 days off. 

Duties of the role will include:

• Provide a warm, caring and enabling environment
• Meet the emotional, social and physical needs of looked-after children and young people
• Support children who may present with complex or challenging behaviours
• Advocate for children and model a positive “good parent” role
• Work within the home’s ethos and Statement of Purpose
• Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive residential service

• A genuine passion for working with children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Resilience and flexibility to work a rota including weekends and unsocial hours
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare
• Experience or transferable skills supporting young people with complex behaviours

Essential criteria for this role includes:

• Minimum of a QCF Level 3, or willingness to work towards this 
•  Enhanced DBS check
• Right to work in the UK- unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship
