Position: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker 
Employment Type: Permanent
  • Candidate Responsibilities as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker - LE9:
  • Lead shifts to ensure the safety, support, and engagement of children in placement
  • Oversee each child’s Placement Plan and ensure adherence to care standards
  • Promote educational engagement and liaise with educational providers
  • Support and supervise Residential Workers, providing guidance and encouragement
  • Manage and record staff supervision and conduct performance reviews
  • Identify safeguarding or practice concerns and escalate them appropriately
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, accidents, or risks
  • Ensure all staff comply with policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols
  • Undertake staff training, development, and induction processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold organisational values at all times
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 months experience working with children & young people
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Children and Young People Services
  • (Desired) 2+ years in a Children’s home, with at least 1 year in a leadership or shift leading role
  • Enhanced DBS check 
  • Full UK driving licence
