Position: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Employment Type: Permanent
- Candidate Responsibilities as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker - LE9:
- Lead shifts to ensure the safety, support, and engagement of children in placement
- Oversee each child’s Placement Plan and ensure adherence to care standards
- Promote educational engagement and liaise with educational providers
- Support and supervise Residential Workers, providing guidance and encouragement
- Manage and record staff supervision and conduct performance reviews
- Identify safeguarding or practice concerns and escalate them appropriately
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, accidents, or risks
- Ensure all staff comply with policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols
- Undertake staff training, development, and induction processes
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold organisational values at all times
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment

- Minimum of 12 months experience working with children & young people
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Children and Young People Services
- (Desired) 2+ years in a Children’s home, with at least 1 year in a leadership or shift leading role
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK driving licence
